Julie Roberts sang this song the other day and I thought it was an appropriate day to share it.

Game Day!!!
There is nothing better than the feeling in Columbia when it's Game Day!!! Especially when it's the first game and especially since the GAMECOCKS kick off the season with the first college game. The girls of course have on their Gamecock attire along with all the other children at school. Course I think we have really confused them. On the way to school, there was a lot of screaming "Go Gamecocks", "Go Georgia Bulldogs" and then "YAY UGA", "YAY Cocky"...they thought it was hilarious though.
Julie Roberts sang this song the other day and I thought it was an appropriate day to share it.

Famously Hot
Another weekend that I tried to keep our family on the go! Friday night I actually got to go out with my friends for Shannon's birthday. I got up and ran Friday morning at 3:30, ran 16 miles, went to work all day, went straight to pick up my friends when I got home, and made it to dinner...needless to say I was pooped and went straight to bed after dinner.
Saturday I woke up to run another 14 miles with some "pickups" throw in the middle. I’m hoping to be in good shape for the Blue Ridge Relay in less than two weeks. When I got home I took the girls shopping for the rest of their school supplies...yes for daycare...school supplies. I couldn't believe all the stuff we had to get. Here is a pic of Grayson's stuff.
This picture is minus the pull-ups, snacks, cup, and extra clothes we have to bring every day. ME also had a long list, of course I didn't get a picture because she wanted to play with all of it.
Anyway, after going to the wonderful/stressful Wal-Mart with two children who do NOT like sitting in the cart anymore, I took them to a marionette theater. I had never been there before, but my friend Theresa was taking her son there and asked if we wanted to go. The play was Pinocchio, which I thought would be something good for the girls to see. The theater was packed with 4 birthday parties and all the extra kids. The play was 45 minutes which was perfect timing for my two, who couldn't have sat there much longer. ME asked me about a million questions during the performance and Grayson just clapped and yelled, "YAY" each time they changed scenes and the lights would go out. Good thing there was tons of other kids, so my crazy two didn't stand out as much.
The concert really was fun, despite the heat. I just love Julie Roberts and know ALL of her songs. Josh Thompson did a great job, I'm just not that familiar with his songs. Pat Green pulled out some of the old and new songs of his several albums. Each singer was only given an hour, so they really didn' have that long to play. We really did have a good time, each singer was literally right there and they could see us the whole time. It felt like it was right in our backyard!
Overall another great weekend with the girls. Ben and I finally got to spend some time together, even if it was in the 90 degree weather, but it was nice just to sit/stand and listen to good old country music!!!

Saturday afternoon, Ben and I took the girls to the Lake. They are getting so big, ME wanted to get in the water all by herself without Ben and I to help her. Grayson just floats and laughs the whole time. We went for a boat ride and of course they both wanted to drive and count all the other boats. Saturday night we watched the Hunger Games, which was a GREAT movie. It was 2 hours and 20 minutes, but it felt like only an hour.
Sunday, Ben got up to bike and run while the girls helped my fold clothes and clean up the house. We then headed to one of my favorite parks near Hammond for close to 2 hours. After the park we went grocery shopping for the week, where they both thought it would be fun to help me push the cart...the car cart at that! By noon, we dropped the girls off so we could go to the 1st Annual Famously Hot Concert in Columbia. It was three days and the 3rd day was the country day, which of course we were not going to miss. Daniel and Perry met us down there. We got to see Julie Roberts, Josh Thompson, and Pat Green. I just love Julie Roberts and she was so cute and funny the whole time, actually they all were. Each one of them completed about how hot it was. The sun was beaming down of us the whole time. We sweated the entire time. Lonestar and Corey Smith also played but we left before we got to see them.

Shoe Shopping
Last night my mom wanted to get the girls some new shoes. We went to Tooties, which is expensive but they have good quality shoes. We ended up leaving with five pairs of shoes.
Of course you can guess who's cute little feet these are!!!!
Everyone needs Rainbows, and of course ME would pick the PINK ones!!
These are for ME for the winter time, they were on sale so we went ahead and got them.
ME was NOT going to leave the store without these!!! Nor would she put on any other shoes on today.
Grayson's Merrill's
As you can see...PINK is the overall color!!!

Beach Trip
This past weekend we headed to the beach with Ben's parents. We had way too much fun and really considered staying down there another day. The girls were VERY good the whole trip, even the LONG trip home in the rain and traffic.
My job was to bring snacks...right up my alley!!! I made some chex mix. It was super easy and good. The recipe was 6 cups of Chex cereal, a pack of melted white chocolate chips, 3 cups of powered sugar and 2 cups of cake mix. Take all that and mix it together and this is what you get!
There was a pond with ducks right near our condo that we went to feed the "quack quacks".

On the way to the beach..the girls started going alittle crazy.
Here are the two sleeping babies after a day on the beach!!

Before we left we took the girls to Broadway at the Beach to let them ride some of the rides and get some more energy out before the trip home.

EdVenture
Last night was Family Night at EdVenture, so we took the girls after work. They has such a good time and could of spend hours there. It was really crowded, so we had to move from exhabit to exhabit in an orderly fashion. After EdVenture we went to a new Mexican restaurant and the girls were so good, so maybe now we can actually start going out to dinner some.
Big Girl Bed
This past weekend we decided to change Grayson's bed into a semi "big girl bed". Her crib actually changed into a big bed, but we need to get a new mattress. She has done really good so far with it and hasn't fallen out. The other morning she finally figured that she could actually get out.
As far as the rest of the weekend, we just spend time with the girls and my family. Saturday we went shopping for ME a new carpet and pillows for her room and various other things. That afternoon we ventured to Monkey Joes and then ME had a birthday party at the Little Gym, where she does gymnastics. Saturday night we went to my parents house for "Steak Night". Around 11:00 when ME started getting delirious and yelling in to the fan, was our queue to leave.
Sunday the girls slept until 8:30 (which was wonderful and late for thaem), while I got up and watched the men's marathon. Nothing to exciting, but it is always fun to watch in amazement of how fast they are running. I went for what I call an "old school" bike ride which consisted of me just riding around town like we used to do back in the day. The girls and I then went to the park before lunch. After naptime and some cleaning we went out to the lake. We took the boat out and swam in the lake, then headed to my parents house for Sunday dinner.
Of course Butter figured out VERY quickly she could finally jump in there to wake Grayson up!!!
