HOT, HOT, HOT

I normally don't mind the heat to much, but this weekend was terrible. You couldn't go outside with immediately sweating. We spent most of the time inside or in the pool. Friday night I did my second downhill mile race of the year. It started near Benedict College and ended right in front of Strictly Running. My phone and car said it was 108 degrees outside at the beginning of the race. I was very wondered that my time was going to be worse than last time due to the heat. It wasn't pretty, but I made it by a second and ended up with 5:17-5:18. I won $100 and Selwyn, the owner of Strictly Running, said that I had set the course record and gave me another $100. So, $200.00 to run for 5 minutes and 18 seconds in the 108 degree weather....I'll take that!!! And there are no pictures, because like Ben said, "You looked like you were about to fall over and die".

Saturday we went out to the new farmer's market and got a ton of veggies and fruit and then headed over the my parents to get in the pool. We got a huge watermelon and the girls loved it...seeds and all!

After swimming we went next door for Christine's 5th birthday party. Sarah Dippity came and painted everyone face and then did a magic show. Don't ask me how ME ended up on Sarah's lap. Grayson was to busy eating birthday cake to get in the picture.

Saturday night the daycare opened for "date night" so we dropped the girls off for awhile so we could go get Mexican. The girls had a great time playing with other kids from school and eating pizza and cheetos. Sunday we went back to the pool and ME actually worked on her swimming. She would kick and we didn't have to hold her like we normally do. Overall a good weekend, looking forward to next week and going to the beach!!!
