The phrase is based on the "concept" of the moment at which you decide to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but it has a secular meaning. A "come to Jesus moment" refers to a dawning, epiphany or agreement following a disagreement. It refers to when the light blub comes on and you understand something or make a critical decision.
There are several people that I interact with rather it’s through work, family, friends, etc that I just wish would have their “Come to Jesus” moment. I’m not going to name any names, but just think. What is something in your life that you would or need to change? I’m sure some people would say I need to have my moment as well. I just think that people take life for granite and waste their lives away by just sitting around not doing anything. My philosophy is if you don’t exercise, work in the yard, walk around, or do any type of activity you need to have a moment. With that said let me explain. If you don’t do ANYTHING, then you become unable to do ANYTHING. So if you are lazy all the time, more than likely you are going to continue to be lazy. Don’t get me wrong, we all have those days where we just don’t want to do anything, but that shouldn’t be every single day. People say that I have too much energy, along with Mary Elizabeth, and I have to constantly be doing something. No I don’t’ think that’s the way everyone should be, but I do think that once you get your butt up and do something the rest will follow. The more activity you are involved in the more energy you will have. Even if you get up in the morning and just go for a walk, I promise it would change your entire day. Your energy would overflow into wanting to play with children/grandchildren, doing odd and end jobs that don’t get done, shopping, getting more work done, etc. Take time to think about what in your life needs to change and hopefully you will have a “Come to Jesus” moment of your own.
