Mary Elizabeth Riddle

5 days after her due date Mary Elizabeth decided she would come into this world on June 10, 2009. Three years ago I remember waking Ben up and telling him it was time to go. At about 3:30 or so my water broke and I was having contractions every few minutes. I called Dr. Salley (on call doc), who isn't my normal doctor but I had seen him several times and really liked him. He was half asleep and told us to head to the hospital. The hospital was only about 3 miles from our old house, but it felt like it took us two hours. We had everything packed and ready to go and left the house about 4:00 am with the dogs just looking at us very confused.

We got to the hospital and knew it would still be awhile. I got some good drugs that made me feel like I had taken some tequila shots. After that another doctor came in and gave me an epidural. Ben's parents, my parents, and brothers showed up to wait for Ms. ME to come. Dr. Holladay, my normal doctor, showed up and ME was born at 11: 25 am. She came out with some breathing problems so the nurse took her straight from us and headed to another room. Well Ben of course followed them and a few minutes later came back with her.

We can't believe we have been blessed with such an amazing child. She is very smart and learns more and more everyday. She doesn't stop talking or moving. Happy 3rd Birthday ME! We love you!
