Last Wednesday night we took the girls to their first Blowfish game. The Blowfish were playing the USC Alumni. We met up with Nick, Elizabeth, Will, and Langhorne. The girls ate about 3 bags of boiled peanuts and cold pizza. We made it to the 5th inning, so we missed the fireworks, but it was already super late.
For the 4th we went up the lake. The girls swam all day and Daddy even went turtle hunting.
This past weekend we went to Waynesville, NC. We went with Elizabeth and Nick, Elizabeth's parents have a house up there. We have always gone as a girls weekend or with the guys, Ben and I have never brought the girls with us. We got to thinking, and it was actually the first time the girls had seen the mountains before. We are more of a beachy family, but there is something to be said about the mountains. In Columbia, it had been raining most of the week. In the mountains it was still kindof rainy, but we didn't care. The weather was actually perfect between 60-75 degrees, with not humidity.
While we were there we took the girls on a walk around Lake Junaluska, rented a canoe, and walked around the mountain we were staying on...called "Heavenly Mountain". We had so much fun playing and just spending time with good friends. Of course the girls came back with a few extra bumps from various falls trying to walk down the mountain in flip flops.
