Rain, Rain, Go Away my children are going crazy!

This weekend it was overcast and super cold. Saturday morning I had a race, that was suppose to be a 5k, which is 3.1 miles, but it ended up being a 2.6 mile race. Oh well, my other teammates and I did it together and we all got some money out of it. I got first place and won $100, Theresa got 2nd and won $75, and Jennifer got 3rd and won $50.00. So it was a win/win situation. Strictly Running takes the field!!!

Yes, we look cold...and yes we were freezing!! Calvin even came to cheer us on though!

After, the race Theresa and I told the kids to Edventure since it was way to cold outside to play. They had some new exhibits, face painting, and some other new activities. Of course it was super crowded, because what do you do with kids when they are stuck inside?!

That afternoon, I made a huge mistake and taking the girls to the mall. WHY you ask? Because I think everyone in Columbia had the same idea. They have this little play area inside the mall that the girls and I had never been to. I beat there were over 20 kids in just a small play area. There were lots of big kids that did not belong in the play area, but of course those parents and just dropped them off and gone shopping.

We got snacks, which included double stacked cookies with icing inside. My friends and I used to go to the mall all the time and I would get those every single time. It was fun to share that with the girls. We tried to go shopping around, but I was so scared I was going to lose one of them.

Saturday night my friends came over and we grilled out. Well the boys did the grilling, while the girls did the gossiping. We ate, played a new game, and just had fun hanging out. I always love when my friends are willing to come over to our crazy house!

Sunday, Ben took the girls out for a little while to have some "daddy time". They went to Lowe's (of course) and the Zaxby's. He got to experience taking the girls to the "boy's potty" in both places. Which I just can't help but listen and laugh! It was still really cold outside so that afternoon I took the girls to the library. The library had a performance called the "Three Little Pigs Opera". I was a little worried about the opera part, but the performance was wonderful and both the girls and I were entertained. We then finished the weekend with shopping at Target, grocery shopping, peep eating, and then finally dinner at my parents house.
