Gamecock Proud

This weekend was probably one of the biggest weekends for Carolina. Game Day came to Columbia, Georgia and Carolina fans came around from everywhere to see the big game. We headed to North Augusta to see off Baby Mason. Friday night in Augusta, they had Border Bash. This is where both the Georgia and Carolina cheerleaders and mascots come together; they had food, drinks, tailgating games, and music. We took the girls down there and it was swamped with Georgia fans and more Uga's then you have ever seen. Of course the girls had to go talk to every single bulldog we saw and called each one "Uga". We met up with Ben's friends, Eric and Kari, and they also came back over to Ben's parents to hang out for awhile.

Saturday morning came around and the day was getting more and more exciting, with the anticipation of the game. Baby Mason left early that morning so we didn't even get to tell him goodbye, but hopefully we will see in a few months when Wes comes home. Mr. Riddle and I went for a bike ride, and of course had to call Ben about 27 miles into it because I busted a hole in my back tire. Oh well...we still had a good time!!! Ms. Riddle and I took the girls to get their Halloween costumes. ME picked out Mermaid Ariel and G is going to be a ninja turtle. We ran various errand and the day flew by.

When we got home the girls and I made cupcakes and they found the paint that we had gotten for Halloween. It was suppose to be "face paint", course they turned it into "body paint".

Finally it was game time!!! Course I was extremely outnumbered by Georgia fans. Ben's friends Kristen and Jonathan came over with their two kids, Ben, Ms. Riddle, and Mr. Riddle. I tried to get ME and G on my side...course they both the whole time were yelling for both teams. But it all turned out great because CAROLINA won!!!! We beat the bulldogs for the third time in a row and moved up in the polls to number 3. We have not been in the top 5, since 1984 ( the year I was born). All my family and friends were calling and texting to check on Ben, but thankfully he didn't do anything crazy. He just avoided the newspaper, TV, and radio all day yesterday. All and all a good weekend, even though we will miss Baby Mason.
