Giving Up

 Giving up is a phrase associated with the season of Lent. “What will I give up this year? Let me think about it.”   Usually thoughts turn to something a person really likes very much, maybe a delicious desert. No more ice cream. No candy until Easter.   Good-bye, cake. All of this is a way of omitting foods truly relished and maybe also subtracting weight someone is eager to see disappear. So I sat and thought about it and I went back to my list of things I couldn't live without and thought some more....

1. Diet Coke (umm I want my family to still like me at the end of the day)
2. Reality T.V. (course The Bachelor isn't over yet)
3. Alcohol (but my birthday's next month and we are going to the Zac Brown Band Concert in a few weeks)
4. Coffee (it's cold in the morning and I need it to get me going)
5. Fried Food (I don't think Ben would like this one)
6. Peanut Butter (but I need energy for running)
7. Crystal Light (but that's the only way I'll drink water)
8. To stop yelling at slow drivers (umm normally that just kindof comes out, and that's not really giving up anything)
9. My watch ( we have to stay on schedule with the girls, so that ones pretty much out)
10. Seasonal Candy (I still have some Valentine's candy left, I can't let that go to waste)

So out of the 10 what should I give up...stay tuned until tomorrow!
