Mountain Weekend

This weekend all my friends and I headed to Waynesville, NC to Lib's parents mountain house. We have had this tradition for over 10 years (crazy). This year it was even more special because Shannon, Cirbey, and Betsy are all in Nashville so our group doesn't get to see each other as often. We always go in November just when the leaves are falling and it's just beautiful.

Friday afternoon we headed out of town and got to the house around 8. We drank, played cards, and just relaxed while we waited the arrival of our Nashville friends. They arrived around midnight, which of course we decided to keep the party going. Finally around 3, we called it quits and went to bed.

Of course since I don't require a ton of sleep, I woke up and went for a run (that's why I have the random pics). During the day on Saturday we all got up walked around Lake Junaluska, eat and walked around downtown, and get spend time catching up. That night we had tailgate food for dinner and played card games and a few other silly games, that kept us laughing all night long.

This trip is so special and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. It feels so good to know that we have strong friendships that have latest this long and will continues for years to come. And I almost forgot to mention, Georgia lost and Carolina won...that only made the weekend better!

Storytime! I love Lib's response to the story.

Tailgate food! Yum! (p.s. I stole this from Katherine's blog)

Picture perfect...and yes I know I'm short!

Bling Bling!

Halloween

We had several different Halloween activities this year. ME has a festival at school, G had a costume parade, and of course trick-or-treating. Last night the girls dressed up as Sleeping Beauty and Mermaid Ariel. We met a few of our new neighbors while trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood. After we went to a few houses, we actually went back to our old house. We walked up and down Grosse Point and then walked to my parents house. The girls had so much fun and have candy that will probably last until next year.
